• MidiPiano

MidiPiano is Musicarta's recommended 'virtual keyboard. It's small, simple, reliable - and plays the free-to-download of Musicarta teaching material MIDI files via a helpful, intuitive interface.

• Synthesia

Similar to MidiPiano though not quite as useful as a learning tool. Synthesia runs on Mac and other platforms - MidiPiano is Windows-only.

• Audacity

A simple sound editor. Cut, copy, paste and convert sound clips from any source.

• Hammerhead

A basic rhythm station (drum machine) with a user-friendly interface. The rhythm tracks for the Musicarta Beat and Rhythm – Tapping Series were made on this little gem.
