Hanon exercises 21 to 30 are twice as long and simply repeat small two- or three-finger fragments before progressing up or down.
No rhythmic variations are offered for these ten exercises, but interval variations are.
It is hoped you will employ held-thumbs technique as much as is useful on your own initiative and vary the performance rhythmically or in terms of touch so as to stay engaged with your performance and avoid mere mechanical repetition.
