Pentatonic Scale-tone Practice Patterns
Set One - Transposing

These are the same Set One patterns, but in pentatonic scales which require black keys.

The number of (different) black keys in the pentatonic scale used is indicated in brackets after the key, e.g., D major (1).

The number of black keys in the major pentatonic scale is always one less than in the key signature. (The pentatonic scale doesn't use the seventh scale degree, which is the first to get a sharp.)
